Terms of Service

These terms cover the Moxie Menu app and website, run by Jakie Studios LLC. Using either means you accept them.

Drinks are for grown-ups

Moxie Menu describes cocktails, beer, wine and spirits. Only order them if you’re of legal drinking age where you are. Please drink responsibly, and never drive after drinking.

Allergies: we’re not doctors

Allergy and diet flags are a best guess from what the menu says, and menus don’t list everything: hidden ingredients, shared fryers and kitchen swaps won’t show up. Always tell your server about allergies and check before you eat. Nothing in the app is medical, health or dietary advice.

Subscriptions

• Moxie Menu is free to use with a limited number of decodes each month.
• Moxie Menu Pro, or Moxie Pass for both Moxie Menu and Moxie Vino, unlocks more decodes and the rest of the paid features. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your iPhone’s Settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us.

The AI can be wrong

Moxie Menu uses AI to read menus and describe dishes. It gets things wrong sometimes: a misread dish, a taste note that doesn’t match what arrives, a translation that misses. Treat it as a knowledgeable friend rather than a reference work, and check anything that matters.

Your content

Your photos and notes remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them so the app can do its job, including keeping the decoded menu so others who scan the same menu get it faster. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload.

Fair use

Do not abuse the service: no scraping, no reselling the output, no attempts to get around decode limits or break the app. We can suspend accounts that do.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, Jakie Studios LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
