What's the difference between a latte and a cappuccino?
Both are espresso and steamed milk, but a cappuccino is smaller with a thick cap of foam, while a latte has more milk and a thin layer of foam, so it's milder and creamier.

The real difference
A typical cappuccino is about 6 ounces: a shot or two of espresso, steamed milk and a thick layer of foam. A latte is usually 8 to 16 ounces, mostly steamed milk with a thin layer of foam on top. Same coffee, more milk, so the latte tastes softer. Sizes vary by café.

- Order a cappuccino if you want more coffee taste and that foamy top.
Quick questions
- Which has more caffeine, a latte or a cappuccino?

- What is a dry cappuccino?
- One with extra foam and less liquid milk, so it tastes stronger of coffee. A wet cappuccino is the opposite, closer to a latte.
