What does a non-alcoholic spritz taste like?
A non-alcoholic spritz tastes like an Aperol spritz without the buzz: bittersweet orange, bubbles and a soft herbal edge, light and very easy to drink.
NA spritz
bittersweet orange, fizzy
An NA spritz copies the Aperol spritz with alcohol-free parts: a non-alcoholic bitter orange aperitif, NA sparkling wine or soda, and an orange slice over ice. The first sip is sweet orange, then a gentle bitterness like orange peel, all carried on bubbles. Without alcohol it tastes a little sweeter and thinner, more like a grown-up orange soda. Bars use different brands, so some are more bitter and herbal while others are fruitier. It looks just like the real thing, which is half the fun.
Where you’ll see it
On zero-proof and aperitivo menus, served in a big wine glass over ice with an orange slice. You might see it named after the NA aperitif brand the bar uses.
Order it if you want the patio spritz feeling without any alcohol.
