What does a Nogroni taste like?
A Nogroni tastes like a Negroni without the booze: bittersweet orange, herbs and a firm bitter grip, but lighter and less warming than the real thing.
Nogroni
bitter orange, no booze
A Nogroni is a non-alcoholic Negroni, built from alcohol-free spirits: an NA gin-style botanical drink, an NA bitter aperitif like a Campari alternative, and an NA red vermouth. Stirred over ice with an orange peel, it tastes like the original's outline: sweet orange first, then herbal bitterness that lingers. What you lose is the alcohol's warmth and weight, so it's thinner and a bit sweeter. How close it gets depends a lot on the brands the bar uses. Some are impressively bitter, others more like orange soda.
Where you’ll see it
On zero-proof and mocktail lists at cocktail bars, served over a big ice cube in a rocks glass with an orange peel. Bars often name the NA brands they use.
Order it if you love bitter drinks and are skipping alcohol tonight.
