An orange with deep red to maroon flesh, a little sweeter than a regular orange, with a berry-like tang.
What it tastes like
Sweet orange with a raspberry-ish tang and a slightly bitter edge. The dramatic color is half the fun.
Where you’ll see it
Winter salads with fennel and olives, crudo, sorbets, tarts, margaritas and spritzes, usually from about December to April.
